Simpson Bay Marina is ideally situated in the epicenter of St. Maarten’s most complete residential, marine, and commercial center.

The marina village boasts more than 50 retail stores and offices.  One of the great attractions of the island is its duty-free shopping. The entire island is duty-free and no paperwork is required anywhere.  Luxury items from all over the world, European clothing fashions, electronics, Indonesian batiks and Chinese embroidery, jewelry, leather, crystal, liquors, and fine porcelain, free of all taxes and customs, are regularly offered at bargain prices.  St. Maarten has the biggest culinary variety of foods available in our grocery stores, ranging from Dutch, French, American, British, Indonesian, Chinese, including specialty and organic produce.

Many stores on St. Maarten’s Dutch side remain open until late in the evening hours, alert to the desire for acquisition triggered by casino winnings. Among the late-night shopping areas, Maho Bay has gained a particularly high reputation. Chic boutiques selling high fashion clothing, perfumes, and cosmetics now stay open almost as late as the surrounding nightclubs.
